Well, my grandson and I are at odds right now.
It tears at my heart because he and I are very close. BUT, I don't put up with his immature treatment of his mother. She babies him and has spoiled him real bad. He yells at her and orders her around. I don't like to listen to it when I am upstairs and they are downstairs. It's her situation but when he comes into my domain and is treating her badly I open my BIG mouth and say things.
He threatened me last night. I don't think he met it and it was all just a statement made in an emotional moment, still, it happened.
I don't like his behavior. He is much, much better than he used to be. We have all been in family counseling and are doing much better nowadays. But, he makes me very upset when he yells at his mom and treats her the way he does sometimes.
PLEASE NOTE**Years back he physically abused his mom. He was about ten then I think. He is 19 now. He was charged, we went through court and he was on some probation, and did some community service. That is in the past. I just don't like this behavior he is showing now and his mom is enabling him. She needs to stand up to him and does to some degree but, not enough.
Also, he has been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder-depressive type.

@celticeagle That's the root cause of his bad attitude. Her mother has regretted it, didn't she?

Is he on medication? He should be. This could be a dangerous situation.

He sure is. I get all my kids diagnosed and on meds at an early age. Mental stuff runs in our family.
