Depp v Amber

An A- List MEGASTAR versus a B List actress in court, who probably married an A - LIst star to become an A list star, hasn't ended well. Its almost like Amber Heard had a back - up revenge plan if the marriage that was never likely to work, didn't work. Hollywood stars tend to take the revenge by trying to wreck each others careers and bank balance. Depp lost this court encounter in the United Kingdom yet won the same trial in America, the difference, of course, a jury this time. For some reason women tend not to be loyal on juries and tend not to believe female testimony over males in these types of 'she said, he said libel trials'. The court of social media was even more brutal on the trial, most backing Depp, before and after the verdict.Feminists backed Heard as you would expect. With these celebrity show trials in America the gay community jump in on mass if they sense any sort of injustice against a star. The star tries to encourage that all publicity is good publicity....very noticeable with Britney and Michael Jackson,.. Whats most troubling is these two were clearly in a drunken abusive showbiz relationship yet female and gay fans more bothered about their man winning than the message it sends to abused women. In fact there is a significant amount of gay relationships with violence in them. Social media is indeed toxic and dumb when it comes to celebrity.

I thought one seemed as guilty as the other. I only watched a little of the trail but they both seemed guilty to me. I can’t understand why the jury judged her to be in the wrong and him in the right.

From what I saw of it, pointing mainly to the recordings, I felt it was very clear that Heard was the nut and the aggressor here. She seemed to me to be a complete nightmare.

@RubyHawk I agree. But Heard is way more nuts. Depp actually sounded reasonable. Pompous. But reasonable.

Silly woman she is and was to tangle with him...she should have realized she could not win in the end. Liar.

Interesting Reddit agrees with him and from what I saw what a toxic lady but can see how people can drag you down when it gets that way . That being said jury sounded pissed and she dragged down women being actually abused by men by decades. Said she made it up and made false accusations he was awarded 10 million but will only get 8 by law. I need to get in a domestic dispute to get that kind of money. Too soon.

A B star who marries someone famous to become A... why this reminds me of someone? I will keep my mouth shut I do not want to be crucified here. This was not a nice trial to follow and this situation shows how bad the media are, they can ruin the career of someone.

One reason I limit my time on social media is sharing ideas that are not in tune with the fan of the person that I criticize in jest gets written up as the second coming of Lex Luthor.

I don't know. I did not keep up with the trial all that closely. But I did watch a lot of the testimony and from what I gathered, especially from recorded material, it seems very clear that Heard was the nut and aggressor here. No one is perfect in any situation, of course. But it seems clear that if there was a more level head in this very strange relationship, it was Depp.

Social media is a good way to spread opinion. They can be brutal and toxic on any number of topics. Celbs or no. However, if you aren't front and center for whatever reason, then you aren't important. Sometimes I think they do this kind of thing to themselves, just so that they can stay current and in the spotlight. Because let's face it, the media lives for drama. And, that's what sells.
