Who Loves Ice Cream???

Have I ever mentioned how much I love ice cream? One of the gifts I got for Mothers Day is a Ninja Creami machine. My daughter got it for me but I haven't tried it yet. I'm excited about all the things it can do in addition to ice cream ( sorbet, gelato, milkshakes).
Yesterday we watched a video on how it operates and although it looks a little intimidating I'm sure once I get the hang of it I can create all sorts of decadent things.
My main purpose was to be able to prepare more healthier versions of ice cream desserts and get away from all the commercial brands you can get in the store. Some of the packages of ice cream have so many ingredients and half of them I don't even know what they are.
My friend was telling me about hers and all the good things she makes and that's where I got the idea that I wanted one too.
I'm hoping it's not something that will just become a dust collector and all my enthusiasm will pay off.
Have you ever tried to make your own ice cream or do you have a Ninja Creami machine???
Do you love ice cream as much as I do ?

@Beestring I see now that it's two different ice creams! I definitely have had chocolate but never even heard of green tea ice cream.

I gave it up too and only eat it occasionally but I do miss it. Hoping this will work and I'll be able to indulge in a healthier version

My friend just made cherry vanilla and I'm going to ask for her recipe. I know she used fresh black cherries and it was a diet friendly version since she's doing Weight Watchers

I don't have a ice-cream machine but take ice-cream every evening. I order 700ml and keep it in the freezer. I love taking ice-cream with fruits in summer.

Oh! It would be fun to have home made ice-cream. I have never made one. My younger daughter tried a couple of times and it came out really well. My mom is well known for her fresh icecreams using fresh seasonal fruits. But they don't use any machine..
Hope you get hang of it sooner and can treat yourself with varieties of yummy icecream

I'm looking forward to experimenting with my new toy especially with the availability of summer fruits coming. I don't think I'd be able to do it without having this machine

I had something else to make ice cream but did not find it very functional. This was years ago. Ninja products are always good and it sounds like a real winner for you. I had rather whip up some icecream than drive out to get some.

I'm really hoping this works and I can make some good concoctions that are more healthy than what I can find in the store. It looks easy enough and my friend is the one who got me all excited about it. She's been making all sorts of healthy versions and we've been ice cream buddies forever

Your Creami machine sure sounds like fun. I too love ice cream. We use to have it every Sunday when I was a kid. Now we just have it whenever. I would love to have an ice cream maker because for years now I have not been able to find one of my favorite flavors of ice cream which is Lemon Custard. With a maker, I could make my own.
I have seen the Ninja Creami shown on either QVC or HSN. It looked like fun. I hope you enjoy yours and it doesn't get any dust accumulated on it.

I never met an ice cream that I didn't like. It's one of my weaknesses. I don't have an ice cream machine.

I'm looking forward to trying sorbet with summer fruits and trying ice cream with low fat milk, etc. My friend is making all sorts of good sounding concoctions which are fitting into her diet nicely

You have an interesting machine there. I hope you can create a variety of ice cream flavors from there.
I adore ice cream, especially chocolate and cheesy flavors. I'm just controlling my cravings because I'm diabetic and can't eat a lot of sweet things like ice cream. But if given the chance and not concerned about my condition, I would enjoy all types of it.

I eat it occasionally but if ordered ice cream it must chocolate ice cream. Other than that I will refuse to eat
