A senior celebration

Last night the church our son Robert and grandson Nathan attend had a celebration for the kids who were graduating this year. It was very festive and served lasagna, mac and cheese, garlic bread, tea, and desserts. The youth group and church gave each senior a Bible. The best part of the evening was when the seniors were seated on stage and replied to various questions. Those 17 and 18 year olds were delightful. They were cute and funny...best of all, they weren't hesitant to talk about their love for Jesus Christ. They were the kids other kids looked up to. I'm sure they're popular in school. Nathan's shy, but he gave some heartwarming answers to the question "Who influenced you the most in your walk with Christ?" He named his dad of course, and Dale and I. His words were sincere and almost made me cry. After that, different youth group leaders commented, then the worship leaders and band had a concert. We didn't stay for that part...we had a hour drive home before it got too dark. I left so encouraged about those young people. Maybe there's hope for humanity after all.
