I Am Very Upset

I think we just had our inspection. The big one! Four people walking around looking at stuff, testing the fire alarms,etc. I asked if this was the inspection. A lady said yes. I told them my grandson had the cable cord still out in the hall because he uses it a lot and we were going to put it out of the way before Friday. The one lady said that the inspection was today through Friday. Ah, no Lady! Our paperwork says Friday- June 10, 2022, between 8a. and noon.
I am mad! They need to let us know what the heck is going on.
This isn't fair.
I am not happy. I have not called about this as yet. I am too upset. But, they need to know. I had my daughter doing just a few things each day leading up to the inspection on FRIDAY. But, we were not ready today. We still needed to vacuum and we still had that cord out in the hallway.

i dont know how those inspection laws are in y our state, but if you and them agreed to a certain date and time, and come before, y ou can kick them out because you have until the agreed time and date to get ready for inspection. anything found not to code or whatever before hand is null and void. it doesnt count. you might want to look into it.

Well, it just is so irritating that they send us a notification that says one thing and a letter that says something completely different. Because we are used to the inspection being set up on a particular day that is what I was working toward. Instead they come two days early and we were not ready.

I hated those surprise inspections. I am sorry you need to deal with them. But, they can and will try to catch you off guard.
