Update on Cataract Surgery

I have been stressing a bit about my upcoming cataract surgery on June 13th. I had not been given a time until this morning and was stressing over it being in the morning. We are night people and a morning time would be next to impossible. My daughter is manic and she is usually up later than me. She is my caregiver and pushes my wheelchair so she needs to be awake and at least halfway alert. Being on medications to help her sleep makes it hard to wake up very quickly too. I would ask for a later time and hope that I am accommodated. If not, I just don't know.
So, I finally get my phone call from the surgery coordinator. She gave me a time of 3:10p. I was so happy! I went over the other stuff with her and I am set. She said I could even eat breakfast as long as I was done by 8:10a. Cool! So I can drink water and be hydrated in case it is a hot day that day. I usually don't eat.
I am so relieved and feel so much better now having most of my questions and concerns answered.

I'm relieved. Hope they discontinue the housekeeping ones too. Nice to have a rest.

@LadyDuck .......Oh, I sure will. Dr. said I might have double vision for a while. Anything is better than this cataract. It is as if I am nearly blind. It is so frustrating trying to do most anything.
