Update on the Inspections

We have been having housekeeping inspections over the last couple of months. At first, I was upset and put out with them but, now I am thinking differently. I am thinking that they are really trying to help us to have good inspections when the Section 8 and Quality ones come about.
I was mistaken that this last week two inspection dates I had were for the same inspection. It wasn't. One(Wednesdays) was the Section 8 one and today was the Quality inspection. Glad I know now because I was really upset when I thought they had come early. I know we didn't pass the one on Wednesday because my daughter hadn't vacuumed yet and my grandson had not taken the cable cord out of the hallway. (I was giving my daughter just a few things to do each day so she wouldn't become overwhelmed.)
I am so relieved to have the inspections over now. The guy came in at a bout 8:10a. this morning to do the Quality one. Luckily my grandson was still awake and opened the door for the guy. My daughter hadn't been able to get to sleep until 3:30a. When he left he said: "You're good!" YAH!!
I am a bit nervous about the outcome of the one on Wednesday. I hope we can squeak by. We will know next time that there are several and I will watch the dates and info more closely.
I am so appreciative of having the voucher and I just come on here sometimes to grump because I do get stressed about them and the outcome.
Hopefully, we are all done for now and can relax. I hope they don't do any more housekeeping ones.

That does sound like a mess...sorry to hear that. Just shared about my own trouble with inspections. Worried about getting evicted myself.

@celticeagle It's the same when the preschools I've worked with get visited by licensing. The "inspectors" who have worked with kids tend to be "cool." The ones who have never worked with kids (and/or were rejected by the kids they tried to work with) and more often on a power trip and more likely to "write you up" for something trivial.

@TheHorse ........That just slays me. We had a health and welfare lady that was that type. Thought her poo didn't stink. Makes me so mad to hear of these types in the wrong business.

It's a part of having section 8. I hated it when I had to do them, too. But, if you pass Wednesday's then you should be good for another year. I hope.
