If you are a Moongazer or a Stargazer you can watch out for the Strawberry Moon which can be seen Tuesday ( tomorrow) June 14 , at 7.51a.m Eastern Standard Time which is 5.22 p.m. lST. This moon does not look like a strawberry neither is it pink in color, so how did it get its name.? According to google the native American tribes named this full moon Strawberry Moon " to mark the ripening of June bearing strawberries that are ready to be gathered" Is it easy from where you live to see full moons? Have you ever camped out on a starry night? Will you be watching for the Strawberry Moon? Pixabay image

We can't see the moon because of the trees in our yard. To see it we have to drive out of the city somewhere. Years ago Pretty and I used to go "camping" in the hatchback of my Daytona and then in the hatchback of my Mustang. Most of the time we went so we could see shooting stars. (The Perseid shower in August and the Geminid shower in December.) We always went to a cliff top way outside of any city so the sky was dark enough to watch whatever was happening above us.

Same here we have a huge building at our place so we don't see the moon here the early night but at midnight when it appears at the top it can be seen from our terrace.

@Kandae11 There are times when there are heavy(ier) showers but you can see some meteors every night of the year. I'm sure you get just as many as we do. Here's the link to the meteor shower calendar.

It's visible in our sky. I was fond of star gazing when I was in the Boy Scout movement for it's one of our scouting activities especially in the month of October, our scouting month.

I am glad you have a good view from where you are. Yes Boy Scouts do some camping out - ideal to commune with nature.

It seems all of these full moons have names - 12 or 13 special moons for the year. The names also have meanings. Yes l really like that photo, makes me feel like being out on a moonlit night.

I don't know if it will be pink in color, but there is a Pink moon due this year - or perhaps it is gone already. There is also the Blood Moon, Frost Moon, Cold Moon, Snow Moon among others due this year.

From my building, it's not easy to watch the moon early but I guess at midnight I would be able to see it from the terrace. I will check it out.

We had a great view of the sky previously but not so nowadays. I've camped in the north of our state where you feel like you could reach out and touch the stars.

We get beautiful champagne full moons quite often around here. And many nites with starry skies. Such romantic moons with champagne mist and glow around them. It's a sight to see!! Simply splendid. You can't believe your eyes. Nature puts on a show
