If you are a Moongazer or a Stargazer you can watch out for the Strawberry Moon which can be seen Tuesday ( tomorrow) June 14 , at 7.51a.m Eastern Standard Time which is 5.22 p.m. lST.
This moon does not look like a strawberry neither is it pink in color, so how did it get its name.? According to google the native American tribes named this full moon Strawberry Moon " to mark the ripening of June bearing strawberries that are ready to be gathered"
Is it easy from where you live to see full moons? Have you ever camped out on a starry night? Will you be watching for the Strawberry Moon?

We can't see the moon because of the trees in our yard. To see it we have to drive out of the city somewhere.
Years ago Pretty and I used to go "camping" in the hatchback of my Daytona and then in the hatchback of my Mustang. Most of the time we went so we could see shooting stars. (The Perseid shower in August and the Geminid shower in December.) We always went to a cliff top way outside of any city so the sky was dark enough to watch whatever was happening above us.

@Kandae11 There are times when there are heavy(ier) showers but you can see some meteors every night of the year. I'm sure you get just as many as we do. Here's the link to the meteor shower calendar.

Ah, a nice name, good to know the meaning behind it. The full moon usually keeps me awake

@Kandae11 I just don't sleep as well during a full moon it seems. Wake up more often during the night

It's visible in our sky. I was fond of star gazing when I was in the Boy Scout movement for it's one of our scouting activities especially in the month of October, our scouting month.

We really enjoy star and moon gazing when we sit in our shack outside.

This is the first time I've heard of a strawberry moon and yes I can see the moon if it's not a cloudy night. It's beautiful here at night seeing the sky filled with stars

We get beautiful champagne full moons quite often around here. And many nites with starry skies. Such romantic moons with champagne mist and glow around them. It's a sight to see!! Simply splendid. You can't believe your eyes. Nature puts on a show
