I Am Really Having Issues Today

I go to my one email account to return a message and that account is compromised. I change my password there and see a notification that my Facebook account has been compromised. I go there and see my account has been locked due to questionable activity(I hadn't been on there at all today) so I try to verify who I am and get reinstated. They want me to send them a photo of my ID. I don't feel comfortable doing that.
Not sure what I am going to do.
I like having that account but I am not going to send them a picture of my ID. Not with the other crap that has gone on today. I don't feel comfortable. Any advice?
I have my eye surgery appointment to get to in about half an hour. I am going to go get that taken care of and when I get home I will read any responses to this and then try to get into my account on Facebook again. If unable to then I don't know........

I would think twice before sending them a photo of your ID. Did you say that your account is locked when you try to access it? Good luck with your surgery.

I sure did. I waited and when I got home it let me just set a new password. The surgery went well. I will post soon about it.

They want you to send them a picture of the photo on your state ID? That does sound rather odd. I thought maybe they meant for you to send a duplicate of what you used in Facebook if you use your actual pic there. That would make more sense to me

Email account wants an ID for verification? Sounds weird. I got only two email addresses - gmail and yahoo. When I forget my password, they just ask me about to reset it and they send it to my recovery email or to my cellphone. No ID being required.

If I ever get locked out of my account I will just be done with fb if they pull that kind of stuff. But sometimes they have glitches. Hope it will work tonight.
