Very Early Morning

I was up early after going to bed late. I did not sleep really well.
It is pretty early here, and I have been up for a while. There is a good possibility I will go back to bed later.
Yesterday Dr. Weir finally located a hospital with a bed for Bob. It is about an hour's drive away. We spent most of the evening admitting him and then moving to a different floor due to short staffing, and giving one of the doctors on his case his history.
The trip to Wichita and back was longer due to some road closures as I do not know the best way to get around. I got home just as it turned dark.
The plan for Bob is more lab tests, MRI with or without contrast, other imaging and they are starting him on IV Vancomyacin on general principle until they know specifics.
Due to gas prices, heat, and the fact that I do not want to be in the way I do not plan to make a lot of trips to the hospital. Will post more as I know what is going on.
So that is what is up with me.

This must be very difficult on you both.
I think that you are very wise to try to stay at home due to the construction and the distance in relation to the cost of gasoline. It will allow the medical staff to do their testing, maybe Bob will be able to rest during the hours that he is not undergoing testing and hopefully a diagnosis will be made.
My heart and prayers go out to you both.

Than you so much. The goal is for both of us to be comfortable. Also, as you know, a hospital is full of sick people and I do not want to be exposed.

I overslept this morning. I usually get up at 9:00am if I'm not going out anywhere, and I woke up at 8:00am and looked at my watch and thought, Oh, I've got another hour. Went back to sleep. When I woke up again and looked at my watch it was 10:00am! I got up so fast I gave myself a headache! I was in the living room by 10:05am but with a bad headache and a runny nose! I don't think I've recovered from it yet!
We're going out to the big Tesco again this afternoon.
Have a great day.

Thank you. I tend to wake up and get up around 4:30. I can see where a sudden change of position might cause that headache.

@GardenGerty How do you get up that early?
I'd never be able to get up that early! I'm going to try and get up at 7:00am tomorrow and that is early for me!

I know that it is hard to take care of the things when you are admitting your love ones to the hospital and all those papers that needed to be done. I hope and pray for both of you and Bob

They do so much on computer, but someone must answer questions and it is me.

@GardenGerty Good! It's always better when the person is in a good mood for tests and such.

Hope things go good for Bob. Hubby and I have discussed doing that if one of us ends up in the hospital. The other one dont need to wear themselves out running.

Lol, I am going to wear myself out doing things I cannot get done with him around. I mowed for over an hour this morning.

I like the way they started an IV just on GP...
Hope everything turns out okay.

They were going to have to do IV fluids again anyway. I find it overwhelming that they are doing Vancomyacin on general principle. It is one of the "last resort" antibiotics.

I will likely call to keep up with things. If it is going to be much more than two days I will go back.

There is a possibility it is still radiation damage from the cancer treatment five years ago, in which case he will likely have to live with it.

I hope you get some satisfaction this time as regards what is going on. And it's good you have the cats for company. Sending prayers and good wishes to Bob too.
