Do you still buy books?

I bought some books recently. I love that smell. Nothing can replace that smell. I can't read books online because my eyes can't stand it. I bought some self-help books. One book is about the inner child. New books smell so good. Maybe I am the only one who enjoys that smell. Do you buy new books? Do you like how new books smell?

I have bought a couple of books lately. I probably should not have, but there are so many I have not read yet. Each one is an adventure. There is a Barnes and Nobles where I live and we go there sometimes. It is hard leaving all those poor lonely books there.

Jo Ann @akalinus I would like a barnes and noble in my home except for the people that come along with it.
All those books and so little time.

Haven't bought a new book for quite some time. Just re-reading some books on the shelf. Like you, I can't read books online. My eyes get tired easily.

@dya80dya All sorts. English and Chinese books. Fiction and non-fiction, detective stories, adventure stories, political, philosophy. I enjoyed reading Agatha Christie's series a lot.

I love the smell of new books but don't have room for books in this house so I read ebooks on my phone.

@dya80dya No. Why would it be any different than reading paper and ink books?

If you don't mind reading ebooks, you should look at this site: b-ok.cc The ebooks there are free.

I normally read books on my kindle, but I know what you mean. I'm weird because I also like the smell of old yellow books.

I have not bought a book for ages and do all my readings now using my different gadgets but I do have a friend in mainland China who not only loves the smell of new books but also loves the feel of turning pages of a physical book.

Sometimes when we're shopping the big mall in capital city. I usually buy used books for they're very cheap.

I have always loved to read. It was my favorite pastime. It's been a long time since I bought any books and I always read what I can or read online without overdoing it. I am nearsighted and still have astigmatism. My eyes get tired and I need to take it easy when reading. But I always try to read something, to inform myself, to have a moment of reflection. When I listen to a podcast I always transcribe what I hear in my mind. It is a fantastic exercise.
