How Much!

United States

In the movie I Am Legend with Will Smith, he roams around a city completely alone. One scene from the movie shows extremely high gas prices on the station signs showing six dollars and more. It's close to five dollars in Texas and who knows when it will slow down. This is real life, although it's plausible we are living in a sci-fi movie. Now we just need a few aliens or zombies to make the movie complete.

It’s $4 here in Virginia every day is like a bad movie. I’m sure some where someone has seen an alien or something.

I remember watching the movie and felt for Will's character's life. That was a very good movie by the way.

Nice to see you Rhonda...How ironic Sci Fi has to come pass, I always wonder if it will be the same with I RObot and AI...the movie.

Thank you, I wouldn't mind a robot or two to clean and cook around the house.

@misunderstood_zombie That would be a dream. We might see that in our lifetime, but it would probably be out of the average person's budget.

@snowy22315 They would probably take over anyway and then we would have a terminator movie happening.

I wondered when you'd show up on myLot again. It's good to see you. You have a lovely house and a nice car. Gas is $4.50 a gallon for mid-range here (Missouri). I filled my tank yesterday for $60.

We are living in the most boring dystopian movie ever. I guess it is better this way, because I cannot outrun zombies.

@misunderstood_zombie They might be, but then there are still the other people out there trying to take over camps and run people off, I'm not very beneficial, so I still wouldn't do great haha

I really liked it too, but not the ending so much. The DVD had 3 different endings and in one of those he lived.

We are over $2/L which is equivalent to about a quarter of a gallon by your measurements. Its not cheap, but the alternative is not something that I am ready for.

Not seen this film, but it seems that when they say a price on a film, by the time I see it, it would be a bargain!

That's true, especially films from the 50's.

I liked that movie. I've heard art imitates life and perhaps zombies have taken over the White House and are making these stupid policy decisions. How else can you explain a destroyed economy in such a short amount of time plus inflationary prices on just about everything.

That makes a lot of sense, and I think it's the only explanation how successful they are at destruction. Your comment made me laugh, thanks.

Tell me about it. In Brazil, the price of gasoline is absurdly high.
