Well what can I say. Ostrich Steaks are great. No fat at all. But surprisingly tasty. A few weeks ago we bought half a dozen packs with 2 Ostrich Steaks in each pack We paid £1 per pack Normal price £5 per pack Remove from pack Season well with a little salt and pepper Hot pan, a little Lard, 2 minutes each side, then rest for a few minutes Served with new potatoes and Mange Tout. Wonderful

I love ostrich, but it's prohibitively expensive and I haven't seen it in any stores that I've been able to shop. I'd have to go to a specialty store in Seattle for it.

I got a shock when we found it here in rural Scotland lol The normal price is high But 90 per cent off was good for us. I love it too

@JimBo452020 is that big round red blob looking thing the ostrich? I've cooked it, and I've eaten it, but that looks raw to me.

@JimBo452020 It was an incredibly good offer. I had to laugh yesterday at the price of "Prosciutto di Parma" $ 85 a kilo... I walk to Italy to buy it, I would never buy at that price.

I've never seen ostrich steaks here. Only ostrich eggs. I would definitely try ostrich steaks. And ostrich eggs as well. I've never bought one. One egg used to be $50 or something close to that.

@JimBo452020 Yeah. But that was many years ago. Wouldn't be surprised if it was even more expensive now. I remember at the ostrich farm in Aruba the guy said one ostrich egg is equivalent to 24 chicken eggs. That's a lot of eggs.

Mange Tout. Small green pea like vegetable Like immature peas In a pod which is eaten whole. Used a lot in stir fry dishes Mange Tout is French

@JimBo452020 Aha. If it's French, it means, "Eat all." I don't know French but I can guess. In Italian it would be, "Mangia tutto."
