So since I am bored and am almost a bum. I decided to be productive today and went for a long walk. I also decided to have a look at my new work place. I know I have not got my visa yet but this at least gives me something to look forward to. I am happy it is only 15 minutes walk from where I live.

I thought you were living and working in Guernsey? Has that changed recently?

@moffittjc 1 to 2 years. Depending on my job satisfaction. My back hurts with ward work. I'm hoping specialising would help.

It would be a great place where to work and so close where you live. I hope your VISA will be delivered quickly.

@LadyDuck The range they gave me was 6-8 weeks. It will be the 8th week on the 1st week of July.

It's great that you may tour the area while you wait for your work visa. I believe it is better if you pay a visit to your workplace and begin to get to know your coworkers. That appears to be a wonderful change from your normal routine before you start working for your new job.

@flapiz Is it expensive to travel back and forth? I hope you enjoy your return to Guernesey.

My impulsive side has decided to fly back to Guernsey for more sun and sea. My visa should arrive no later than 2nd week of July. It is beautiful in Bath but I have not made much friends here yet.

@JudyEv yes it is. Without the showers and toileting it saves my back too. I really can't wait to get started.

@flapiz It certainly doesn't look old. Dialysis is a life-saving procedure, isn't it? You are helping save people's lives.

That's the best part that it's almost 15 minutes walk away distance where you live. It takes an hour for me to reach the workplace and it increases when there is a traffic jam

I use to work 5 minutes away from my house. The hospital is literally outside. It's a requirement for me as I cannot drive.
