Messenger Is A Gonner

I had messenger(from Facebook) on my phone. This morning I go to check it and answer my daughter's message. All it did was flash notifications at me. "Something went wrong" etc. I tried to bring it up several times but just got the same thing. So I uninstalled it. I spent a lot of time in the app store trying to find the right one to reinstall. There are scads of them and I don't know which one is the right one.
Any ideas?

Sometimes I have experienced that. I refresh my phone. If it won't work, I uninstalled or reinstalled.

I uninstalled but my problem was I couldn't see which one was right. I just waited until my daughter messaged me. That sent a notification to my email. When I followed it that directed me to the app install. So that got me to the right app.

I just waited until I got an email that I had a message on there. I followed the message and the app install came up. I installed it and all is good again.

What phone are you using? Apple or Android? Typically, when you do a search, it'll be the first result. If it's IOS, look for the one that has a cloud icon, that'll be the one you downloaded previously.

I think it was the first result. I just wasn't sure. I got it back.

I know. I waited until I got a message from my daughter on Messenger. I followed it and it took me to the app's installation spot. So I have it back again.

Try to reinstall again and see whether the error message is still there.

That was the problem. I couldn't find the right one to install. Scads of them. So I just waited until I got a message from my daughter on Messenger and when I tried to message her back it took me to the app to install. So I have it back again.
