You know what I mean The down the stairs hair design. Why not an Argentinian or an English lol Who the heck thought a Brazilian was a good name for it. Wonder if Pele and Tostao knew about it. Or Gerson.

Well of course I had to do a little research. This is what I read... The Brazilian wax was taken internationally in 1987 when the J Sisters, seven Brazilian sisters, opened a waxing salon in Manhattan, New York and introduced the idea and techniques. Soon, the salon gained celebrity clients and the Brazilian wax became famous, associating Brazil with hair removal and earning its name of the Brazilian wax.

@JimBo452020 Not sure how true this story is but I saw a photo of the sisters. Jonice is the youngest of seven Brazilian sisters whose names all begin with J - the others are Jocely, Janea, Joyce, Juracy, Jussara and Judseia. They became known collectively as the J Sisters because nobody could get all the names right. Today the salon is popular with the rich and famous, and they make up to $6m a year (as of 2016) on waxing, hair and nail treatments.

Have no idea exactly what Brazilian means but I always thought it meant you remove all the hair down there.

@JimBo452020 I know it's waxing but is it complete waxing or is there some hair left untouched?
