While we didn't expect Elliot's mate, Pawnee, to arrive until the end of the month, she showed up on Sunday. After letting her rest from her travels for a day and giving her a big drink of water, I planted her in the yard about 30 feet from Elliot. They may not look like it now, but when mature, these trees will have a spread of up to 60 feet. I may not be around to see them then, but I hope whoever winds up in our house appreciates them.

That is pretty cool. I was pleased to discover there were already berry pods on the chokeberry tree I planted. I am surprised they are starting to fruit so early.

It's great that your tree is already producing fruit.

@DWDavis Well I assume it will since it has the little pods on there. I will look again a bit later.

Thank you. I hope they grow and provide a nice shady area to rest under while providing us with some fresh pecans.

I hope they grow quickly so that you get at least some pleasure from them.
