Should I or shouldn't I?

I am snuggled under the bed covers watching TV, having coffee and myLotting. It is cold and rainy here and the house is chilly. In between rain showers, I did get dressed and pull some weeds from the edge of the garden. Too wet to step into the garden. Then I ran inside and jumped back into bed Getting out of the bed would mean turning on some heat. Maybe, I'll get up and bake something. A good day to use the oven.

Baking something sounds like a really good idea to warm up your kitchen.

@rebelann The sun came out. And it's coming in the living room window. One reason I hate to use the furnace. Hubby would turn on the AC if it got too warm.

It's summer! Where did that cold weather come from? Can you please send some of it to Florida? We have been under extreme heat advisories over the past week, with very little relief in sight.

@paigea I enjoy when it rains here in Florida, because it temporarily cools things off. Sometimes considerably. The downside is our storms are quick and powerful, but then the sun's back out again. Which means the humidity then kicks in and it ends up being more miserable than before the rains came. It's a double-edged sword for sure.

@moffittjc I experienced that in Ontario. It was a shock to me to feel so blah after the rain. After several days of rain. Some days showers, a few good storms, our humidity is 50%. Quite comfortable.

I'd love to share. When it rains here, it is chilly. We never get a warm rain. Now we'll have some warm weather. Hopefully not hot.

It is not chilly, but a lot cooler than the beginning of the week, a pleasant weather that I like a lot more than the hot weather. Using the oven is a good idea.

Today is going to be a pleasant day to be outside, I think. Not hot, and fresh after the recent rains. I should be able to see the garden growing in the sunshine.

@paigea I went out this morning and worked in the garden, it was almost cold. Now the sun is hot and the mosquitoes are horrible. I went out only a few minutes and I went back with 3 bites... and I sprayed myself!

@LadyDuck I have been keeping up with weeding, because the mosquitoes have not been bad. But I'm sure that is about to change!

Cool or in your case cold days are always a good time too use the oven. Will it be enough to hear up your whole house or just a room or two?

@MarshaMusselman We don’t get the heat Ontario and Manitoba get. It’s drier here and it generally cools off at night.

Between using the oven and the sun, it's usually enough not to use the furnace in the summer. Though yesterday, we used the gas fire place in the living room. We are having a cool summer so far.

@nela13 I avoid the oven when it is hot. We use the barbecue or other small appliances I can plug in outside.
