The US took a huge step backward today. Some people think it's the end of the world. But it's not. It might be the end of Freedom As You Know It for the rest of your life but it's not the absolute end. The Absolute End might come through Global Warming or some other self-inflicted calamity but it's not coming because Roe was abolished. Common sense, logic and decency will return. Just maybe not until after you're gone. I prefer to think that what happened today is an example of rocking. If you live in a climate like I have, you know what rocking is. If you don't, let me explain. When you find yourself caught in deep snow, you can usually get out if you put it in reverse, go back a little and then go forward again. It doesn't always work but it usually does (Sometimes, it takes several attempts). Politics works the same way. Occasionally. Maybe the Roe reversal will make enough people mad enough to shift into Drive and break free of the snowdrift we call the GOP. In a reasonable amount of time. There will still be a lot of short-term suffering---Even if you will never need an Abortion. One of the videos below highlights one of the undesirable side-effects of the Roe Decision and you can expect them to get worse as well---but why can't we make it as short as possible and make it not be in vain, to boot? With that in mind, let's go to 1969 and see what the Cosmic Universal Anthem Song Of The Month Club Song For Today is. ************** #TYT #TheWatchlist #JayarJackson Woman Cited For Indecent Exposure Over Crop Top 6,560 views Jun 24, 2022 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkpvNuVLpgE -------------------- Joni Mitchell ~ Big Yellow Taxi + Both Sides Now (BBC - 1969) 4,441,906 views Jun 4, 2015 Is there a taxi big enough for all the clowns in Congress and the Supreme Court? It is a women's body and she should be able to do what she wants with her own body. Nice song.

And that's what this is all about. No one cares about unborn babies. The aim is to control women.

Many women will die trying to self-abort, as it happened before 1975 when abortion was illegal in Italy. Well at least a raped woman or a woman with a serious risk to die could abort. This law seems a bit extreme.

It's very extreme...A rapist has more rights than his victim because she's a woman and she has no rights...And yes, abortions will continue and many women will die.

@LadyDuck You would think that cases like that would have more influence on everyone.

i guess I just don't see the big deal, if you need an abortion and your state doesn't allow it, you just go to one that does. We currently have free travel, you are allowed to move, go, and travel from one state to another.

That works for people who can afford to do it. As usual, this only affects the poor. And some states will make traveling to other states for an abortion illegal. Again, it will only affect the poor because those who can afford good lawyers will be unaffected.

@xander6464 I don't see how they can make it illegal. We can come and go as we please. they are also talking about clinics "bussing" people out and back to get their abortions as well. Where there's a will there's a way. I feel like if certain states vote it's okay, then that's good for their state. If others vote it's not, that's okay for their state too. The less the government tells us what to do and how to do it, is better. I like their nose as much out of my business as possible. The more freedom we have in choosing for ourselves the better.

@mom210 More freedom is much better. Abortion is one thing states need to stay out of.
