James Bond's Final Mission?

A new James Bond? Or an old one?
I am wondering if it would be fun or even successful to offer a twist on the old James Bond character role. We tried to tell the story, with Daniel Craig, of how Bond became 007 in Casino Royale and illustrated what was supposedly his first mission with a license to kill. And while I have not been a fan of Daniel Craig in the role, the movie itself did well enough.
One of my favorite Bond actors was Sean Connery who is now 90 years old. What happened to Bond? What did he become when he retired? What is his life now? And who might still want him dead? Surely many villains from his past might still have an interest in seeking some sort of revenge.
What if an older Bond were to emerge? What if Sean Connery reprised the role and delivered a final storyline and a final victory for James Bond?
Would this be a fun movie to watch? Depending on how they did it, I sure think it would. Does anyone think Sean Connery would even say yes to it?
Of course, the script would have to be super-stellar to get his nod. And I would expect no less.

That would be a cool movie if Sean Connery would be up to the role physically.

@porwest No need to feel stupid. We don't keep track of every celebrity that passes.

I'm used to Sean Connery playing the role of James Bond. For me, he's the legend.

Are there even going to be anymore Bond movies? Would be cool if there was a new movie at some point and Sean reprised his roll but would he be up for it? I had no idea that he was 90. Wow! Time flies...
