Weekly goals

I've only been in this outpatient treatment program for like a week but one of the things the Monday counselor does after everyone's check-ins is that we set 3 goals for the week and 1 of them has to have measurable results. Last week my goals were: 1) look into virtual tutoring as a summer side job 2) entirely clean out the litter box (sounds stupid but when you have to carry it down 2 flights of stairs and out around to the dumpster it is something that is easy to put off) 3) hang up all of the sweaters and shirts that Adso has knocked down onto the floor while trying to get up onto that top wire shelf in the walk-in closet. Yesterday we all went through our goals and reported on our success. Most people didn't hit more than 1 of their goals. I hit like 1.5. I did not look into virtual tutoring. The clean out the litter box project turned into a try to teach Charlie to do his business in the toilet since he refuses to share a litter box with other cats. I *did* hang everything up that Adso knocked on the floor. This week's goals are: 1) go through clothes that are too big for my sister to sell on Poshmark 2) spend no money on food and put $100 into savings instead 3) refill my prescriptions. I'm out of my anti-depressant and, well, when that happens then everything else just turns to hell. I have several to get but the anti-depressant is my #1 priority. I think this is a cool thing to do. Once I get sprung from this program I think I will continue it. Can you think of 3 goals that you want to accomplish this week?

I agree, that is a cool thing to do. I keep a short list like that every week, that is why I never make resolutions at new years. We are going away for the long Canada Day weekend this weekend, so most of my goals revolve around getting things ready for us to go. I baked some mini pumpkin loaves to enjoy in the hotel room in the mornings, or as a late night snack (our snacks aren't very exciting, but that is us) I have some trail mix all packed up into a container so that he can munch on that in the car, I have the reservation confirmations all printed off and ready to be put into the bag that I will keep within an arm's reach in the SUV. You keep on doing what you are doing, it sounds like you're doing well and you will have so much to show for it, like alot of extra savings for one.

Easily, I am going to start writing them down the night before. I am pretty good at accomplishing what I set my mind to do.

Yes, I could easily think of three goals that I'd like to accomplish this week. Would I ever complete them? I'm not sure.

I always begin my week with some set goals such as getting to cash out on survey sites and I am about to accomplish that tomorrow, then blogging which I did and now I have left my constant search for writing jobs, What I do not succeed in I put at the top of the list for the next week, Best of luck to you,

Unfortunately I am limited as to what I can do. I do have a couple of things I want to do this week. Most will be accomplished by our housekeeper. You know that you shouldn't let your antidepressants run out; so I won't preach!
