A rough day but it was worth it.

Today I went to do the different errands so that I would be able to have a cheaper health plan for my knees. Dixie, my generous friend, went with me although she is still walking with a cane. It took me ages to have the ladies there do the paper work. One would think it was a chess game But finally I paid and she gave me the new prescription for the therapy (less than half the price of what I was paying) and free meds for 2 months. The doctor gave me all for only 2 months because he wants me to have an MRI of 1 knee. I´ll do it although it is very expensive. I had lunch at Dixie´s and came back to bed. All is well that ends well.

The pills have been a wonder. And I start with therapy on July 26.

The MRI is quite expensive. My husband had two last years, but we do not pay, it is covered by the National Healthcare. - Good luck for your knee.

The doctor wants to have the MRI of one knee. He told me that with what I would save with the pills and therapy would go for the money I would spend on the MRI. Still it means money. But as the pills have been so good for my knees, I want that doctor to keep on examining me. He said that there were knee parts that were not shown in a radiography.

@marguicha - Doctors now prefer the MRI because it is more detailed. My husband should go soon for another. I told him to wait at least 6 months after the previous one, those are radiations, even if not too strong.

@LadyDuck I have had MRI done for my cancer. The doctor told me that the MRI shows better the soft tissues.

Are you considering a knee replacement or so they not know yet what is going on with your knee?

The doctor said to save the money for an MRI anyway. But if after the test is done the doctor will not continue with the special plan but I feel that it really helps me, I´ll ask Humberto for prescriptions. I could pay for the meds if they really work. And I could learn to do the therapy by myself.
