My rust lilies have started to bloom

We had some rain the other night and when I went outside in the morning one of my rust lilies finally bloomed. I have two plants but so far only one plant is blooming. It's been raining a little the last few nights so now there are two blooms total. Maybe there will be more tomorrow as more rain is coming tonight. We need the rain especially since I've not thought about watering the flowers yet this year and it's been quite hot. I've been waiting to share this bloom because I was very behind on my notifications but I just got most of them done finally. Tomorrow we're shopping in the morning and then I'm doing a bid in the afternoon. The rest of the day is mine unless I do more organizing. I work the weekend and was supposed to work on the fourth. But I found out last weekend that a niece is coming through on her way to Wisconsin and wants to visit with family. I didn't think I could get it off but another girl works the midnight shift and I'm working that for her while she works the holiday for me. Yay! It'll be the first time we've gotten together other than Easter since COVID.

Those rust lilies are so pretty. Guess what? I found a living salad at the supermarket yesterday and it came with the instruction of what to do to keep it fresh.

Did it say to put it in water?

@MarshaMusselman It says to keep the roots wet, cut what we need and continue to keep the roots wet so the salad should grow back.

Oh so pretty! How fresh it looks with those rain drops! Zero rain here - many blooms are already fried. Enjoy your first family get together in a long while!

Some of my other flowers are beginning to look a bit ragged too from the lack of rain until recently. I hope they get enough water to get rejuvenated. And thanks. I always enjoy family time.

Your Lily is very pretty and I don't think I've seen one that color. Enjoy your weekend and especially the visit with your niece, It's nice that you were able to switch shifts so you could be off to see her.

I intend to take more pics as they bloom more. I also want to pay better attention to how long they do bloom. JJ had some that only lasted about a month. His bloomed from may till almost June.

What a beautiful flower you have. Is it outside of your front yard?

I hope they last awhile before the heat fries them. I should hook up my houses so I can begin to give them extra water.

I call the color rust. I don't know what it is exactly. I don't consider them delicate not like a peony might be.
