Fourth of July weekend...

...and, it's surprisingly quiet. Despite rain chances, it's been hot and humid. Yesterday was the last day of June and I heard a little bit from the neighbors, but they typically start in the middle of June. So it should be interesting what before and after is like. I might worry about our cats while we're on our staycation, but my husband understandably doesn't want to have to drive home after dark. And, he knows how important fireworks are to me. So we're going to a motel on the beadhside and watch them there.

Don't know if I'll be able to see fireworks from here.

Could you from your old house? Or, like us, do you have to go somewhere?

@kaylachan Actually, I'm a little closer to where they set them off, here. I may be able to see them if I go to the soccer field across the street.

@xstitcher You're lucky, we still have to go away to see them.

I hope that you enjoy a wonderful fireworks display. Today is Canada Day and we went away and will watch fireworks at the lake shore this evening.

Our cats are indoor only. I don't have to worry about that.
