...Oh right!
Let me explain.
Earlier today I saw I had a small cut on my finger, on my left index finger. Not on the tip, not on a joint, just on the thumb side of the end part.
Okay, I've got what looks like a paper cut, could even be a paper cut, except it didn't hurt when it happened.
However, I was sitting here at the computer and noticed that my finger hurt over that little, shallow cut.
Why is it hurting so bad? I wondered.
And then it came to me.
Either at the end of May or the first of June in 1980 I cut my finger rather badly... right there. I had a Bandaid on my finger, except for showers until August 1st. I didn't wear a bandage at my brother's wedding, even if at that point it was only one of those tiny ones.
I actually continued to use bandages for work for another couple of months since any thing that touched it made it hurt.
What did it hurt like? Yeah, just like this paper cut.
Oh, and as a side affect of all that time with adhesives... I can't stand any of them on my finger nails, any of my finger nails.
I wish I could explain how I got around all those when Mitten chewed up my finger... That was fun - not!

@ElicBxn Yeah, I know and those always feel the most painful.

@kaylachan happily I seem to have used my "magic power" to get the cut to mostly stay closed... normally I'd use Carmex, but I've had to go to Vaseline because my lips have decided to react to flavors and additives... I have literally had chapped lips since before Christmas.
