Tonight's dinner

Tonight for dinner will be beef liver. Rumba is the brand. My mom got it for me at Walmart. The liver comes very thinly sliced. All I have to do is cut it into smaller pieces and I am good to go. I wish it was thicker though. All I am gonna do is coat it lightly with flour and then fry it in a skillet, salting both sides. And I will saute some onions to go along with it. Not sure what to make for the side. I'd make a salad but nothing to make salad out of. Perhaps will just reheat the rice we have left over from Turkish takeout. It should still be good. I love liver!

@JimBo452020 I have oxtail and beef tongue in the freezer. And I am defrosting a big duck. Not sure how long that will take lol.

I wish it was a bit thicker but than again the thinner it is the faster it cooks.

I like the liver breaded and fried. May be this is why they make it so thin, to be breaded.

@lovebuglena - Breaded is very good, I remember that Mom always prepared it for us.

I've never breaded liver before. Only lightly coated in flour.

@lovebuglena If liver isn't overcooked, it's tender and delicious.

I did and hubby did too. I will never say no to liver, as long as it's not overcooked.

@LindaOHio Yeah, not everyone is a fan. I remember in school one day we were asked in class what we had for breakfast. I said liver and a lot of people cringed lol.
