A visit with Juaka and Lua (and their Mom, Elizabeth)

Earlier today I was on a walk and went by the house of a lady I know here. She invited me to come over at 4p.m. to have some cake and coffee. The lady, Elizabeth, is from Brazil, and she has two pugs: Juaka (the boy) and Lua (the girl). Not sure if I'm spelling their names right--she pronounces the boy's name "Jaka", but I'm pretty sure I heard her calling him "Juaquin" once. We sat at her table and had cake and coffee, and she told me about her "class" that she does on Zoom (which, from the way she described it--they read a book and then discussed it--sounded more like a book club), and I told her that my brother had the house ready to rent this month, and we talked about dogs. She insisted that I get another dog ("You need another dog", she said)--but I don't think I'm quite ready yet--emotionally, and definitely not monetarily. After about an hour, she said she had another "class", and sent me home with some cake. Now I'm back here. I'm happy I got to go out and to a bit of visiting.
