Taking the time to wish everyone who celebrates Happy July 4. There were a lot of fireworks going off last night, but unfortunately, I couldn't see them due to the trees. I saw a flash of red once. One time when I was visiting my parents for 4th of July, it may have been last year, the neighbors up on the next block had an amazing fireworks show, and we could see it right from the living room. That was fun!

@misunderstood_zombie - I love to hear the thunder when I am in bed. We had a thunderstorm also the past night.

@LadyDuck Thunder is close to fireworks. I love thunderstorms when I'm at home and not driving in it.

We have had some fireworks over the weekend but I expect tonight to be the big celebration. I love seeing them but it makes my dogs a nervous wreck. Happy 4th!

Yesterday I saw some of the family at my great-aunt's house and ate some homemade ice cream. Didn't hear any fireworks, but we had a storm after I came home from my great-aunt's house.

We were staying in a motel kind of on a hill with the valley down below, and it was pretty entertaining as there were about 5 different sets of fireworks going off. Only one of them were the high in the sky kind though, so I think most of them were private displays.

We were really close this time. I could see where they were shooting them off from out our back patio, but it was so loud.
