It’s been a while since we had been up to see my husband’s grandma. You might remember a post I made 5 years ago on this day she went to the hospital very sick where she spend a week in an induced coma due to infection. This infection based brain damage so her memory of what happen doesn’t exist her memory about many things is blank and she has come a very long away. I’m still sure she has know ideas who me or the kids are and for the most part she plays along with what she does or doesn’t know. She is very sassy for a 75 years old. Anyways we went to spend a little time with her and the kids great aunts. 2 hour drive up to there places they provided lunch and snack for us. The kids played in the big back yard, played with the dog for a little while. Then we hopped back into the car drove home which took 2 hours and 20 minutes not bad for a 4th of July.

She so family so why wouldn’t we visit her? She has been in my kids life since birth and the kids have been heart broken since there great grandparents pasted away 2 years ago. Really it doesn’t have anything to do with being kind it’s what family is suppose to do when they can.

Thank you! Even through she doesn’t remember she seemed to be having a good day. She asked us why the clouds looked like animals, got told 3 times how long my hair and it was pretty with how long it is. As for the 4th of July it wasn’t bad. Very long day but good. We even made it home for the kids to do a little bit of fireworks with the rest of the neighbors and their kids .
