Fireworks Still Going!

It is 10 PM on the 4th of July here....and I do know that is the day of celebration. However, our town allows it June 30th through July 4th. So...needless to say I am ready for them to be over.
The neighbors like to shoot off a ton of them and it is really bad tonight. I can't imagine the pets that don't like the loud sounds. They don't think about little kids/babies who are trying to sleep now too.
Ahh well...it should be over after midnight until new years.

We have been hearing booming and shaking for several weeks now. I am more than ready for it to end. Every time I try to sleep, I just start to drop off and it starts in again. I have the AC on, of course, because it's hot outside. Then I am running a box fan in the hallway to try to muffle the booms, and the TV is on. I can still hear them.

Saturday was the noisiest night. The close neighbors made our windows rattle. The 4th was much quieter.

That's very different than here - Saturday was not too bad. Sunday was pretty bad but the night of the 4th was horrendous
