There is nothing refreshing about today's fresh air

I have doors and windows open, and there is no breeze.
The sky looks like a gray, soggy sponge, yet we have no rain.
Surfaces look damp, sweaty. Yet I still feel I need to go water things.
I will not be able to hang out laundry; at least not if I want it to be dry anytime soon.
My purple or red basil from last year went to seed, so I have hundreds of baby basil plants. They would like bigger pots. The nice thing is that having basil around repels flies.
Hubby will get up and we will go shopping before the heat of the day. I am going to use my Pay Pal to buy a new printer. It seems my printer also fried when the power surge killed my modem and desktop in May. I was finally going to reinstall my printer, not realizing this. The first step in the instructions was to make sure the printer was on. My printer would NOT turn on.
Stamps will go up in price this week. I need to buy some before that happens, since I do sometimes use them. "Forever stamps" are good for whatever price the stamps are, so if I buy them now, I will pay 58 cents each and the price of a first class letter will be going up to 60 cents, but my forever stamp will still be valid.
Lady and Angel want to go in, and out, and in and out, so I have propped open the door for them. Tinker has been in for pets and treats. Bitty is in the bedroom with Bob.
For the most part I am done with my morning computer work. I will stay home when hubby goes for his treatment and maybe get back online. Happy Thursday to all

I do not ever think of your area as humid. That must stink.

Today was terrible for anyone with breathing problems or allergies. Intermittent rain showers, then steam, then more rain showers. Yes, we need the rain, but the air seems heavier than ever now.

I bought a very inexpensive one, just like the last one. Different model number but it even uses the same cartridges. It is good enough to do what I like.

Happy Thursday! It is miserably hot out and I sit and work by my AC and listen to music on my laptop.

That is what I do as well, except not the music, usually. This is why you are so well informed to write those music posts.

@GardenGerty music along with reading and watching videos is my world here otherwise, all I would have to do is talking to my kittens but as I tell them I do not speak CAT

I would like some showers again. They are probably holding off until I mow some so everything can grow wild.

@GardenGerty I would say that is probably the case.

We have had some afternoon thunderstorms for a couple of days, which is nice. We desperately need the rain. I would prefer a slow steady rain instead of a few moments of solid downpours, but I am thankful for whatever rain we get.
Highs have been in the mid-90s with humidity in the 70s, yuck.
I bought two rolls of the forever stamps a couple of weeks ago before the increase sets in.

It just seems the weather is very extreme this summer. Saving those pennies does help.

I know what you mean. It feels stuffy and hot.
The basil sounds good.
Sorry about your printer I hope you manage to find a new one.
I hope you managed to get everything done that you needed to do.
Have a nice day.

@GardenGerty That's good. I think our garden needs a bit of watering. When it's very hot out lawn starts going brown.

I have an old printer that needs replacing, but honestly I print so little anymore that it’s not worth the price to get a new one. I think if I need to print anything I can just put it on a flash drive and take it to Office Depot or UPS.

I have some people I write real letters to, and print them out so we can discuss things.

The humidity has backed off for a couple of days. It will return on Monday. Sorry to hear about your power surge! That's a shame. I hadn't heard about the postage increase. Fortunately I bought a roll of stamps a while back. I hope Bob is doing well. Have a good weekend.

Bob is feeling better than he has in a long time. He feels kind of tied down because he has to go get treatments daily, but it is a whole lot better than being in the hospital./

So very humid and sticky, overcast, the air seems heavy. It rained a bit early this morning, and then it just seemed to warm up into a steam. Not nice outside.
