Barbie has a full name.

I found out today that Barbie actually has a full name--Barbara Millicent Roberts.
Who knew?
She was born in Willows Wisconsin, and though she never had a mother and father in a real sense, she has had a great many kids that adore her.
I loved Barbie when I was a kid, especially because I didn't really like baby dolls, so a Barbie was perfect for me.
Of course, then they only had one Barbie, her friend Madge, her little sister Skipper and her man Ken, but there was a great Barbie convertible.
I tried to look up how many types of have been produced but couldn't find anything. From being a doctor to movie characters, it would be interesting to know how many.
I love this image. this is what happens to all these dolls toward the end. They find themselves in a Barbie graveyard or the trash.

My daughters when young liked Barbie and they had few. But soon by their 8th birthday they were over it. Some went as hand me down to cousins and other children while few ended up in the Barbie trash in the conditions shown in the picture

I never knew Barbie needed a full name! And why didn't she take Ken's name when they got married? (Did you know Ken was gay?

I don`t know that. I like Barbie dolls because you can dress them and brush their hairs and do your dream style with Barbie. I had Barbie but it was a gift from my auntie

After playing with them for so long, they just get trashed and their hair gets all matted up. At least that's what happened to my daughter's dolls.
