Do you look for it or wait for it

There's this saying that goes don't look for love it will find you . So am caught up in a dilemma if for instance one needs to get into a relationship after being single . What do they do? Wait for their partner to come along or do what it takes to get a partner. For instance dining out, getting social through interactive activities in different social clubs , church etc what's your view am a bit confused

I didn't look for another spouse, after my divorce. Instead, I prayed for God to take the controls. Let him bring someone into my life, if that was a part of the Lord's plan for my life. And he brought me a wonderful Christian friend, he eventually became my husband. We didn't sleep together, this would never be God's will. After becoming husband/wife, then intimacy is allowed.

In order to find love, you need to be willing to be able to put yourself out there. But, don't force romantic feelings. If you fall for someone, it'll happen naturally.

but personally for me I think it's a combination of both, there's a time to be active and a time to be passive. You can socialize why not but don't go around chasing once you are there, just be your natural self then wait and hope to get noticed, if it would come it will come.

You can read all sorts of things but I wouldn't take too much notice of any of it. Do what you think is best - or a bit of both. Join a club or group perhaps. I don't suppose you'll ever meet anyone if you stay at home all the time.
