I feel a bit disappointed

I feel a bit disappointed because one of my tutee is always absent on Mondays. They can absent anytime they want. Luckily yesterday a mom came and ask me to print learning materials for her children so I still earn and get busy.
That is what is disappointing with tutorial jobs. Sometimes they don't come. Sometimes they will suddenly stop and don't like anymore. No matter how much effort you put in to do your best.
Other tutors put a fixed fee of 2,000 monthly even if they absent you have to pay 2,000 a month absent or not absent you will pay that fee. Maybe I should do the same so they will be force to come regularly.

I think you should make a charge whether tutee are present or not.If they are absent, then it's their fault, not you fault.so your income shouldnot decrease due to other's fault.you should charge them even they are absent.

You should start charging them anyway, whether they show up or not.

@averygirl72 You should be paid for your job, even if the student doesn't show up.

Maybe that is possible that you try to ask them for a fixed rate so that they would be forced to avail of what they pay you. But do you think that would attract more customers? Or maybe you can just add that as an option for those serious parents that want their children to be tutored on a regular basis and you also allow parents who want to have tutoring from time to time their children needed to be tutored.

@averygirl72 Oh yes, if you know your market niche then you know what is best to approach them and sell your services to them.

@averygirl72 - At least you do not lose money if they do not show up.

Well, they've obliged to pay for that even they're absent. What about if there's a good reason for their absent? Are they still going to pay?

A fixed fee sounds a good idea. Sometimes you need to do this to stop people messing you around.

You are right to stop people messing me around. To stop them for not showing up very often

Charging a fixed fee sounds reasonable. You should try it out.
