Hello, all! This morning I was typing up a "Good Morning" post and checking my messages at the same time, when I saw a text from someone that a co worker had given my information to for substituting. She asked if I could come in, and I said I could, but then my regular ride wasn't available, and so I was scrambling to find a bus route, and I asked a neighbor, but she was going to an appointment, then I tried to find a bus route that went to the street, then I decided to go to the bus stop and ask a driver, and as I was heading to the bus stop, when I thought to stop and ask a couple of ladies whose dogs I say hello to now and again. One of the ladies said she could drive me, and I gave her the address, and we found it (in the "country" part on the other side of town. It all happened so fast--I think maybe there were 10 or 12 kids there, but there was so much space compared to where I usually work they were all over. I was a little nervous 'cause I didn't know the exact way of things, but no one told me I was doing anything wrong or anything like that. I got off at one, and I thought that the lady who had driven me had given me her phone #, but she hadn't, so I asked if there was a bus that went by there, and the teacher I spoke to said she'd never seen one, and directed me to the owner, who told me the the grandfather of a child who was getting picked up in a bit could probably take me home. He did, and I texted the owner of the daycare my address (she asked me to before I left) so she could send me a check. I also texted her that my regular boss didn't have me working every day of the week, so when I got my next schedule (when my regular boss gets back from her trip) I could tell her what days I'm available. On the way home, the grandfather told me that the director of this daycare was having trouble keeping teachers (If I understood him right). I would be more than happy to fill in if she wants me to!
