When my shower stayed cold last evening, I began to suspect the pilot light was out.
Bob was too tired to deal with it last night. He tried this morning while I was gone to church, but he did not succeed.
At my suggestion, he read the instructions on the hot water heater. Lo and behold, it is now beginning to warm the water.
Little things like warm water certainly make me happy.

When I showered the water was on the cool side of tepid. Not quite as cold as when I got splashed by the hose outdoors. I hated boiling water to do dishes.

We are really dependent on being able to turn on a tap for hot water for everything.

Yes, it does, but some people forget. They think they already know how.

Our weather is extremely hot right now. It still feels best to have a warm shower.

@GardenGerty There is not a lot of time left to find a solution, it will be cold before we know.

It's a good thing that it wasn't a rusted out water heater. I'm glad it was an easy fix.

Yes, it was a good thing. I am sure within the next five years we will need to replace our hot water heaters.

Yes, always good to have a water heater actually heating water.
