I don't really like this promotion

I think the promotions are always good and people like it. But lately I don't really like a promotion from a supermarket. I went there to buy a big pack of eggs (30 eggs) and I was so surprised that you could get a live chick for free. Oh... I must say that the chicken are quite adorable. But I didn't want one anyway because I don't have a garden. That's not suitable for me to have a chick. So finally my logic won my emotion

I agree that it is not a good promotions, but better to donate the male chicks than to kill them.

I think they won't be killed. But they can die due to lacking of good care.

@youless Workers in hatcheries sort out all the male chicks by looking at the length of certain feathers. The female chicks are sold to egg farms, whereas the male chicks are killed. This is why I said better than to kill them.

@youless They are cute but still a living entity that will need to be looked after.

Seems a little bit cruel unless people know how to raise a baby chick. Before you know it they grow up to be chickens, which are not nearly so cute.

It is not difficult to raise a chick, but the right place is a problem for it.

What an idea. It's good if you can take care of it

I don't think I can take good care of a chick and therefore I didn't take it to home.

How sad for those poor little chicks. Most will probably die because many people do not know how to raise one.

It is not hard to raise a chick. Normally feed them rice and vegetable will be fine. But they need the space and this is the problem for people who live in the city.

I don’t believe grocery stores should give away chickens. That’s weird.

That's not a good promotion in my opinion too. Where to keep a chicken if you dont have a space. They could have kept an option. Most people like to have a discount on the price.

Oh, I don't think it's a good idea at all for a store to give live animals as a promotion. I agree with you - I don't like this promotion, either!!

It is better to promote it in the village.

Yes, they give free coupons to sell something else in return. They are sometimes just a nuisance.
