We have a new neighbour

A wood pigeon has made a nest just outside our bathroom window. In the picture you can see her on her nest just below and a little to the right of the open window.
She’s obviously a very determined pigeon, because I discovered the nest, containing two eggs, when I climbed a ladder a couple of weeks ago to cut back our wisteria. I had to cut a large part of it back, because when we had some very windy weather several weeks before, it broke away from the supports on the wall and flopped over. And when I got up there I could see that she had obviously built an almost-completed nest before, but then it fell down leaving the nest suspended sideways. So she had been forced to start again.
We are not short of wood pigeons – the UK population is over 10 million – but I felt it would be mean to destroy her hard work a second time! So I was careful to leave those branches supporting the nest, and some leafy bits above to provide shade and shelter from the rain.
Once I was done and the ladder taken away, she returned and has been sitting tight ever since. If I lean out of the bathroom window and a breeze moves a couple of leaves I can just about see her keeping a beady eye on me. I call out ‘Morning Pidge!’ and leave her to it.

Is this the type of pigeon they make into pies?
My wisteria is only about a foot tall, but then, it's only in a pot on my patio table.

@Fleura There was a house a couple of miles from ours when I was growing up that had wisteria that covered the house and barn. Every year, when it bloomed, it smelled so good! (We could smell it all the way at our house!)

Wisteria grows like crazy, I have to prune it hard twice a year. There used to be one house near here that was all but invisible underneath a huge wisteria. And I know I've seen photos of it covering whole hillsides in some parts of the US (it is classed as invasive in many states). Probably best to keep it confined!

You don't have bug screens on the inside of your windows?

Glad you took care not to destroy her hard work.

The pigeon is hardly visible but very kind of you to save the kitchens nest.
