Hope today is better

Yesterday in the middle of painting the bathroom, I noticed some sparkles in my vision. I thought, "Oh no...an aura." I took two Tylenol Migraine tablets and an ibuprofen, but it still developed into a migraine. Not as bad as sometimes, though, thank goodness. I lay down for a while and it eventually went away. Last night I couldn't sleep and had one of those night terrors. It took a little longer than usual to realize where I was before going back to bed. Still couldn't sleep, so I'm dragging today. We just had lunch at Pizza Inn which was good, now headed home for a nap. What's going on in your world? Hope the temp has cooled down where you are if you're in the middle of this heat wave.

It’s hot here. Those night terrors are horrible, although I call them night mares. Makes you dread going to bed.

Yeah, whatever mine are, I can't find an exact definition. They seem closer to nightmares than night terrors, but it's also like sleepwalking.

@RubyHawk They seem to happen about once a month.

@1creekgirl I used to sleep walk and have nightmares but that was years ago. Hope you don’t have them often.

I also had those sparkles in my vision some days ago, I did not get a migraine, but it took hours before I could see clearly.

I feel your pain. I woke early with a throbbing headache, already into a migraine. I have been trying to live without acknowledging it too much today, it isn't as bad a migraine as I have had in the past. Enjoy your nap.

@1creekgirl I am pushing thru it. We have our second covid boosters booked for this afternoon, and I am taking it easy before I go for that.

Those night terrors must be quite frightening. Thank heavens I don't get migraines either. I have a lot to be thankful for.

Glad it wasn't a full blown one. I guess that not getting proper sleep is not helping

Sorry you had a migraine and night terrors. Have you talked to a doctor about your dreams? Nothing much going on here.

I get "aura" which has zigzags like and last always 20 minutes. I hate it, but I get no headache with it.

For many years, that's how it was with me, too. Got the zig zag flashing lights, but no headache. Then it started giving me the migraines after the lights.

@1creekgirl That’s great your migraine passed. Here the heat plummeted from 30C to 15C in a very short time and it’s set to remain there thankfully.

Have you consulted a doctor about the night terrors?

No, not yet. The only pattern I see is that it happens about once a month, but no triggers that I can see.
