To meet or not to meet my friend who arrived from California

My friend Lyn, her hubby and their twins arrived Cagayan de Oro City last July 19. Her husband Daniel is an American. They would spend some weeks vacation in their newly acquired house and lot in Cagayan de Oro City . I was so excited for I can see again ther twins Keagan and Kaliyah who are now 3 years old. They were here 3 years ago, twins were just 8 months old.
Lyn was my former student in college and she became my best friend. The problem now is she and her family would want to meet me in PANAGATAN a resto beside the sea near home. It's just a walking distance. Why is this a problem to me, my sister doesn't want me to go. She would only allow after 15 days from their arrival to be sure if they are covid negative.
My friend and her family will go to Cebu next week too, to check their Condo they bought online 2 years ago and from there they'll fly back to California. It's hard to persuade my sister.
If you were me, what shall you do? Thanks for sharing your bright mind. Sharing is caring.

HK requires people visiting or returning to HK stay in hotel for quarantine for 7 days. They have to do Covid testing when they leave the hotel. Is there such a requirement in the Philippines.

This is what was done in most of the countries in the starting and when it's spreading fast and they should start it again. @Beestring

In fact today Covid-19 is less dangerous. Besides, I think it is likely that they are vaccinated and probably you also had vaccination, too. If so, why are you afraid of? Besides, they may even have the Covid-19 test before boarding and arrival to your country.

My friend's sisters arrived form the US and they all got Covid. Since she was vaccinated it was mild.
I think you should avoid that visit.

@allknowing, my goodness it's scary. Thanks for the info. I may decline to meet them. Plus, she didn't reply me if they're vaccinated and boostered.

I think they are vaccinated and boostered if they were not required to have hotel quarantine. My sister came home on the 8th, from California and she was required to be tested 48hrs before her flight. She was fully vaccinated and boostered,no more quarantine. I am glad she's negative...
Maybe your friend got offended a bit but that's understandable.. COVID is still here...

@brokenbee, aw okay I'm clarified now. You may be right my friend felt offended, but it's not the reason not to reply me. It's okay if she won't invite me again.

@58lordstreet, we can't blame your mom. She felt tired listening and perhaps with some fears of the virus.
