Why on earth I overheard the same scary folktale

It seems my father, their Grandpa, decided to tell the scary folktale that night. All of them were sitting in the verandah (including our 4 pets) listening to him with curiosity. Unfortunately, the electricity was cut off because of rain, so there was no electricity for more than 24 hours. In fact, there was no electricity for another day also. Rainy season? What to do !! It was quite dark and, meanwhile, I was heading for my dinner and here they were all listening to a scary folktale. What the ... ha ha ! After overhearing the tales, it sends me goosebumps again for no reason. Why at night? Why ? The folktale was all about wild creepers turning into humans alike and troubling people. Last time it so happened that my dear naughty nephew came to my room and called me to open my door. That night was kind of very silent and I was in the middle of reading a few articles. When I heard his voice, it scared me out like anything It was like around 9-10 P.M only. Besides, there is a saying among our folks that you should not respond to anyone until the 3rd time, even when you hear someone knocking on your door the 3rd time. I think sometimes my heart can't take it, probably my mind seems occupied that's why I was startled that night He actually always comes around to my room to watch Youtube videos or to play games as his parents restricted him. Story of Grandparents and grandchildren Uff!!

I think this could be the reason why we need Grandparents for the children. Back then though my parents tell us the stories we always ask our grannies to tell stories whenever our home

@psanasangma grandparents are always good at telling stories is it because of the experience they have had for years?
