Not going to Church again.

I didn't go to Church yesterday for two reasons:- 1) It was that time of the month. 2) I've got a painful arm. And the reason I've got a painful arm is because I laid on it funny in the night. I sleep on my right side, but when I get in bed I lie on my left side to put my glasses in the glasses case and put it on the bedside table. Then I usually turn over onto my right side to go to sleep, but this night I went to sleep on my left and when I woke up my arm was underneath me. I did it on Thursday night but it felt fine on Friday when I went shopping. But then on Friday night I reached across for something and it hurt. And then that night when I was in bed, when I was lying on my right side, I couldn't get into a position where my left arm wasn't hurting. In the morning when I got up I put some IBuleve on and I put some on twice more during the day. Then on Sunday I did the same thing, and it was really painful to put my blouse on so I got my Mum to help me. Then I noticed that the IBuleve was out of date! It expired in July 2019! But I'm continuing to put it on anyway until we can get some more or something. Last night and the night before I've been sleeping on my back so that I can get my arm into a position where it doesn't hurt. I'm going for a blood test for a medication review today, and when I do we're going to ask at the pharmacy if they've got anything stronger for this arm because when I got up this morning it felt even worse! It has lessened up a bit now to what it was yesterday, and that's still painful. I've also got to get a birthday present for my Mum, she'll be 77 on 3 August. Anyway, wish me luck. I hope you are all OK. Have a nice day.

Btw is it a rule in England as well, that you can't go to churches if you are menstruating? I thought we have that just in India...

No, of course not! I just don't go when it's that time of the month because I don't feel too good, what with the period pains and mood swings, and it being uncomfortable and all. But it's not a rule you can't go to Church.

@Dreamerby That's really strange. I suppose it stems from the old testament when I woman who was menstruating was said to be "unclean" but we're living in the new covenant now.

@sharonelton It sounds the same with my experience with my left arm pain. It just healed on its own

@averygirl72 Oh, that's good. I've been putting the Voltarol on morning and night and it does seem to be working. I managed to put my blouse on myself today. It only hurt a little bit, but it definitely wasn't as excruciatingly painful as it was before.

I got some Voltarol for my painful arm. I've applied it twice now, last night and this morning. My arm does feel a bit better now but there are still some things that it hurts to do like reach for stuff and it still hurts when I try to.put my blouse on so I still had to get my Mum to help me with that. I don't know what's going on at Church on Sunday. It's either Cafe Church or picnic in Beacon Park. They're doing that for four weeks alternately. And I'll see how my arm feels but I hope it's fully recovered by Sunday.

That's too inconvenient for having an arm which hurts. Why not apply some pain ointment or liniment? And sleep comfortably by not sleeping on your arm.
