Kyler Murray's Contract...Disrespectful

So I find this funny actually. Kyler Murray signed a contract with the Arizona Cardinals with a clause in it that he had to watch 4 hours of film a week. This led to media outlets speculating on how much film he really watched in general. Everyone had the general consensus that they watched more film than four hours a week and most were analysts. Kyler Murray just days after the announcement was made, called a press conference. In this press conference he said that the clause was insulting and under no circumstances does it reflect his capabilities. He went on to list his achievements from high school and on. This has been talked about to death now but I have to say that this is funny. I've been paying attention to football for the past ten years, like really paying attention and I have never seen another clause like this one. It has been brought up that it's a huge contract and he probably didn't read it therefore didn't know. It's been said that maybe it was something that was truly needed. Either way, I think that if he was going to draw even more attention to it by calling a press conference, he shouldn't have led off with what he accomplished. I get that all of the accomplishments require practice and training and probably watching the film but there were other ways to take it. According to the press conference, they are taking the clause out of the contract. What do you think? Should he have just let it blow over or was he right with the conference? Did the clause in the contract really hurt anything or maybe just give him motivation to study more? *picture from google

@RebeccasFarm Yeah they think that he has too many distractions and he's not studying enough. He claimed that he didn't see that clause in the contract when he signed it.

They are. I think that calling a press conference over this though just brings more attention to the clause than needed. If he would have just had a private meeting with the coach and fixed it, it would have just blown over when the season actually started. At least it would have if he actually played decent in games.
