My vacation is officially over, and it's time to get back to my writing orders. It's all good though because I'm ready to make that money haha.
So, week one of my vacation was spent at Ocean City, Maryland, which I posted about recently. I saw my favorite band, New Kids On The Block, in concert the day after getting home from Ocean City. I'll be posting about that at some point, hopefully, this week, because I never got around to it last week.
Week two of my vacation was spent at home, but it consisted of walking to the coffee shop, getting ice cream (actually, I got a milkshake), walking to the store, my doctor's appointment (routine checkup), spending the evening at my best friend's house for her son's birthday, her son's actual birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese, and going to the mall. I also spent some time at home just relaxing, catching up on a few things (but not as much as I wanted) and uploading my vacation and concert pictures/videos.
I think I needed the mental break. Even when I was tempted to check the job boards, I reminded myself that I nearly hit burnout, so I need to stick with my break, for myself. Now, I think I'm ready to get back to work. :) I'm going to start with a bunch of short orders, especially since I got a later start despite getting up earlier (I had to take care of an important errand though).
I want to try "time blocking" - where I set a timer for a certain time (for example, two hours), and do nothing but work until the alarm goes off. And then, I'll take a short break, before setting the timer again and getting back to work. At least, I think that's how time blocking goes. I'm going to try it today. It'll be like a game... how many short orders can I finish in two hours lol?
Alrighty, that's enough rambling. I'll try to be back later. You all stay safe and take care. :)

@Deepizzaguy I know, that's why I took it. :) I wanna try to take at least one week-long break a year.

Good luck with those others. It's good that you took that two-week vacation. It's sometimes needed.

@tammys85 That's understandable. Life happens and we have to make the best of it. I know. Each day is a new day, and a chance to do better.

@kaylachan Right. April through August of 2021 was not my best, but my Momma came before my work, MyLot, NKOTB page, etc.

Thank you so much! I'm going to try to take a week-long vacation once a year. This year wound up being two, but so did last year's vacation (however, that second week was because my Mom had fallen down the stairs, so it wasn't really a break, but the first week was a break).

I'm going to try to be around a bit, unless I fall behind on my work.
