Goodness of rain

Kenya

It's an essential component for germination, but too much of it causes flooding, which can destroy the soil with erosion, plants die . But it's goodness when in sufficient amounts, it facilitates germination. The maize plantation below has grown well and so beautiful to the eyes. It's our staple food and hence it's known countrywide.

We certainly need rain for crops but, as you say, sometimes there is too much. There are floods in the eastern parts of Australia at the moment.

@marlina Yes, we've been seeing that in our news bulletins. It's very tragic.

That's good then. So, maize is your staple food. For us, it's rice. but we do plant maize too but not as much as rice. I hope your crops would grow well,

Rain is needed badly here in CT. Grass is brown & veggies not growing because of extreme heat and lack of rain
