We Are Getting Too Attached

As many of you know our attempt to get our mother cat spayed and three of her litter surrendered to the Humane Society didn't work out in July. But, we have another appointment for both on August 23rd and if all goes well we will have this all taken care of which will be a big load off my anxiety list. It has been a rather anxiety-ridden time because once again we are hoping our transportation factor kicks in. Last time we couldn't get an Uber so early and had to cancel the spaying. Our cat has to be at the vet between 7:30a and 8a. When I saw that the Uber wasn't coming I called at least a dozen of independent taxis that I found listed here in Boise and none could help us. I think it is rather odd that a capital city has lost two major taxi companies that have been in Boise for over 20 years. And there are no good substantial ones that have taken their place. Most of these independents only pick up a certain group of people and don't take on any new customers. I think this is weird. So I decided to try scheduling ahead on Uber and hope that a driver will pick it up. I am also thinking of calling one of the places that transport animals too. I know the price may be high but we have to get this done. The kittens are getting big and we are getting way too attached to them and the mother cat could get pregnant again. I wish we had someone we could depend on. Our family friend who was going to come and live with us was going to but he got a new job and can't depend on being able to get that particular day off. There are also two other ladies that live here in the complex who my daughter is going to ask. But, one is a drug addict, and the other works and has to be to work. It sure is hard to get some things done when you no longer drive. My daughter and grandson don't drive. I gave up driving back in 2014. We couldn't afford to keep up a car anyway.
