Icecream Surprise

We have always purchased store-brand icecream. We purchase the store brand for most groceries. I have always wondered why people would be willing to pay such high prices just to get a particular name brand. Well, my husband ran into the store, today after church, to purchase icecream. They didn't have the storebrand. Imagine that, an empty freezer section. That is typical for our current time frame. Anyway, he bought an expensive store brand. I would have just walked out without purchasing any ice cream. But we got home and begin to eat our icecream. All of a sudden, I realized why people buy those more expensive brands. The taste was so much better. Now, I don't know if I will be able to bring myself to spend that kind of money, regularly, but it was certainly a clarification of why people swear by those expensive brands.
