I will be officially retiring from my job in October. Am not sure whether I will get an extension at work. I am not too happy with my present boss so have not spoken to the HR department recently about their further plans for me.
Am looking for opportunities to work from home. I know the income will not be the same so am a bit confused if I am making the right decision. Just now good health is important and my boss is giving me a lot of stress bcoz of which my blood pressure goes high very often.

I too am exploring options of selling on Amazon and Etsy. What exactly do you sell and how long it took for your sales to pick up? I too would have enjoyed a retired life. But since I live alone I have to think of my daily expenses as I dont have much savings.

Congrats. Since you do not like your present boss maybe good time to retire. How do you feel about retiring or waiting a little bit and continue to work till you feel the timing is right to retire? It sounds to me like not a good idea to stay in that job with that boss causing you so much stress.

Yes, it sounds like you need to be out of that job if it's causing you health issues! I am retired as well, so I do little work at home gigs that give me spending money at least. I am in between gigs right now, because my last gig was just seasonal. Let's hope that we both end up with the work at home job of our dreams!

For me, retirement income is not an issue. But then, that is because I have spent and continue to spend my working life making investments that will cover the majority of my living expenses into retirement. Money makes money, as the old saying goes. If I spend everything I earn today there will be nothing there for me to enjoy tomorrow.

Once you lose your health you have lost everything.

I no longer work and only spend time here and at other Sites - more a pass time than an earning prospect.

It's stressful too if you can't find a work from home job. I hope you can apply for a new job

I think retirement is good for your blood pressure but companies allotting work from home are no less. I have worked for them and they keep you under pressure.

Most of the bosses are not good. I can relate it to my boss who shouts a lot at us when we lag targets and I understand the same is done to him by his boss so he does it with us in frustration. I know there are other ways too for him but he applies the way he knows the best.
I think it depends on you if you dont want stress then you should search for jobs which can be done from home. But again I would say they won't earn you much and there is no certainty in such jobs.

My income increased since I started working full time from home! Depends on your skill set. But there are good opportunities out there and I love the fact that I make my hours and pick my projects. Good luck!
