Good morning. It's already 12:16am here. I'm still waiting for a chat. As of now, I only received 8 chats for 4 hours already on work. I don't know if there's no problem for majority of the customers that's why they're not contacting. One of my teammates, shares the verbatim of his customer. "You know how the apply the statement the customer is always right even when their wrong." The query if the customer is insisting to add the discount code but that code is already expired. He didn't know that code was offered by our website couple of days ago during the time of his order placed. I don't know how it feels with that kind of customer. How do you react with this?

I think if the code was available when the customer ordered I'd issue the discount even if the code is expired and if it's within just a short amount of time. But, if the customer is trying to order now using an expired code I wouldn't offer the discount

@Marilynda1225 Yes. He should explore the promo code section first before placing an order and use the 10%.

@Marilynda1225 But the problem is the customer can't provide any information that he tried using that code on that date. That date offers a lot of promo code. But the customer only complaining that he wanted to use the 25% code. Every order, you're only allowed to use 1 discount code. He already applied 10% code. He only lately noticed that there's 25% code available.

@DevMrSamEleazar Yes I agree. Every company has its own process that customer should follow.

If the code is expired, then the customer cannot use it. If he used the 10% and didn't see the 25% that's on him. He doesn't get to use the other code. That's how it works in most companies here in the US.

@LindaOHio That's right, but some customers is acting like they should be given the correct discount and we need to adjust for them. We in the customer care is only following the process of the company.

I suppose there are times the customer is not right. But sometimes if you give them an expired code, you will have a happy customer for a long time.
