Dinner Tonight 08/12/22

It's Friday. I have a good commission check coming, plus two bonuses. The stock market has been good this week. So, we decided to spend some money.
I know, I know. It goes against everything I talk about here.
Saw a coupon in one of the ad mailers for a place called Joe's I had not heard of before, and they said they deliver to our area, so I decided to give them a go and spread the wealth a bit.
We got a Chicago style pizza, which I call an inside out pizza since the sauce is on the top and the toppings are underneath. Had them put on sausage, mushrooms, black olives, green pepper and red onion. Plus it came with a side of mozzarella sticks. Yummy.
Then I got some fried mushrooms, and a full order of shrimp alfredo. Apparently it comes with a salad and garlic bread sticks. So we have that.
With the 20% tip I will give the driver our bill will come to just under $80, but we will be more than full and have plenty of leftovers to boot.

Chicago style pizza has a lot of dough. I prefer my pizza thin.

@porwest Changing it up once in a while is good. The same thing over and over can get tiring and become boring.

@porwest We do have delivery around here, but the charges are too high. The drive only gets a small portion.

@DevMrSamEleazar There are many "styles" in the U.S. They are all essentially pizza of course, but there are deep dish styles, think crust styles, upside down styles...it's largely a regional thing. New Jersey style, New York style, Chicago style, St. Louis style...
Just lots of variety.

@porwest oh did not know there is a lot other. here we just have cheese, ham and cheese hawai type.
and others but not like a type of pizza that is made by a certain place. idk if we have that here

Never had a pizza like that before I bet it was good. I am sure you will enjoy your leftovers. We had steak on the grill and salad tonight.

@porwest It sure is we eat a lot of steak my mom wins them at a club they belong to play a bingo game they call steak o it is just bingo but when they have a bingo they have to say steak o

My dinner is going to be the usual Indian roti with "Dalma", a special dish from Odisha, the state I reside. Its made of lentils and vegetables, garnished with coconut, clarified butter and some spices.

We will eat our dinner at lunch. Hubs is going to pick up from a local Italian restaurant. I will have Chicken Parmigiana and gnocchi. They include a BIG salad; and we will get a basket of rolls. Hubs will have his usual spaghetti with meatballs.
Oh! You wanted to know about Friday. The above will be for today, Saturday. Last night for dinner I had vanilla yogurt. Big excitement.
